Randy Murphy
President
- Randy brings passion, leadership, and a deep love for the trails to his role as President. He’s committed to keeping SSA strong and our snowmobile community thriving. He's also deeply involved in the hands-on side of the operations-handing much of the trail maintenance and brushing. His dedication both on and off the trails keeps the SSA running strong and ready for every season.

Vice President & Head Mechanic
- As both Vice President and Head Mechanic, Rob keeps things running—literally. From trail decisions to wrench-turning in the garage, his hands-on expertise is essential to SSA’s success.

Kristi Kunkel
Treasurer
- Kristi handles the numbers behind the scenes, managing our finances with care and precision. She oversees fundraising funds, DNR grants, and ensures your support goes directly into maintaining and improving our trail system.

Roy Kunkel & Carl Sampson
Trail Bosses
• Roy and Carl serve as SSA’s Trail Bosses, specifically overseeing our trail grooming operations. From planning grooming schedules to managing equipment and coordinating with our team of operators, they ensure the trails are consistently groomed for safe, smooth riding all season long. Their experience, reliability, and attention to detail are key to keeping our system among the best in Michigan.
Brian Gibson
Memberships & Communications & Vet Ride Registrations
• Brian oversees SSA’s digital and on-site operations, including management of the SSA website. He coordinates merchandise and gear at snowmobile shows, Groomers Ball, and Vet Ride, and manages the Vet Ride registration process.
In addition, Brian handles memberships, newsletters, and Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors, and assists with trail signing to ensure trails are clearly marked and ready for riders. He plays a vital role in keeping the SSA community connected and running strong.
